Hatim Qays Zu’bi is the Managing Partner of Zu’bi & Partners Attorneys & Legal Consultants in Bahrain and Al Zu’bi & Partners Legal Consultants in Dubai, as well as a Private Notary in Bahrain and the Honorary Consul of Canada to Bahrain. He specializes in banking, commercial and corporate law, franchising, labour, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions.
Hatim graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Reading and completed the Legal Practice Course in London, UK. He began his career with AON Risk Services in New York and later worked at leading international law firms including Herbert Smith LLP in London and White & Case LLP in New York. He joined Zu’bi & Partners in 2008 after experience at prominent Bahraini firms, and was appointed Managing Partner in 2023.
Over the course of his career, Hatim has developed expertise in corporate and commercial law, M&A, banking and finance, labour law, dispute resolution, and the Bahrain legal system, alongside a strong understanding of international legal frameworks. His current practice spans litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, corporate law, M&A and restructuring, franchising and commercial agencies, labour and employment, banking and finance, and insurance. He is recognized for handling complex legal matters and is a trusted advisor to both businesses and individuals.
Hatim is a licensed legal consultant in Dubai and a licensed advocate and private notary in Bahrain, authorized to notarize documents in English. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
