Mahmoud Shaltout is a Founding Partner of Zulficar & Partners and Head of the firm’s Litigation Group. With nearly three decades of experience, he is a leading expert in complex litigation, representing major domestic and international clients before Egyptian ordinary, economic, and administrative courts. His practice spans intellectual property, commercial and tax disputes, corporate crimes, civil and environmental law, and penal sanctions.

Mahmoud has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including HSBC, CIB, NBE, British American Tobacco, Apache Corporation, Total E&P Egypt, Suez Cement Group, IBM, Titan Cement Egypt, and SODIC, among others. He also advises clients before Egypt’s Ministry of Justice experts, ministerial investment dispute committees, public funds authorities, and tax committees, and has contributed to several high-value arbitration proceedings handled by the firm.

A seasoned litigator, Mahmoud is recognized for his strategic advocacy and deep understanding of the Egyptian judicial system. He holds a Law Degree from Cairo University and is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association, licensed to appear before the Court of Cassation, the Supreme Administrative Court, and the High Constitutional Court.
