Dr. Belal Talal Al Ghazzawi is the Senior Managing Partner of AlGhazzawi & Partners, with a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades. He specializes in banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, real estate and construction, insolvency, competition, and Shari’ah law. Since joining the profession in 1984, Dr. Belal has represented leading Saudi and international corporations across a wide range of industries and sectors.
He has extensive experience handling complex litigation and arbitration matters before Shari’ah and commercial courts, as well as international arbitration tribunals under ICC, UNCITRAL, and Saudi Arbitration Law. His work includes advising on billion-dollar construction disputes, inheritance settlements under Shari’ah law, and major corporate and financial restructurings.
Dr. Belal has advised prominent entities such as Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Finance House, British American Tobacco, Investcorp, and M.H. Alshaya Co. on commercial, financial, and regulatory matters. His counsel has been pivotal in landmark infrastructure and PPP projects, including the Haramain High Speed Railway and the Mecca Metro Project.
He holds a Bachelor of Law and Sharia from Kuwait University (1984), an LL.M. in Maritime Law from King Abdulaziz University (1994), and a Doctor of Laws (Cum Laude) in Islamic Comparative Law from Al-Azhar University (2001). Dr. Belal is fluent in Arabic and English.
