Paulette Lopes is a founding partner of FBL Advogados and a leading authority in corporate and commercial law in Angola. With extensive experience advising major economic groups on foreign investment, Paulette plays a key role in structuring private investment projects, particularly within Angola’s evolving legal and regulatory framework.

She is highly regarded for her expertise in the incorporation and privatization of companies under Angolan law, assisting both domestic and international clients in navigating complex corporate transactions and regulatory compliance.

In addition to her legal practice, Paulette is an esteemed academic, serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Agostinho Neto, where she currently teaches Civil Procedural Law III. Her academic contributions include several published articles on corporate law and co-authorship of key legal texts such as Insolvency Law and Notes for Updating the Bankruptcy Legal Regime in Angola, featured in the Special Commemorative Edition of the FDUAN’s XXXV Anniversary.

Paulette began her career in public service, holding roles in the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a diplomat. Her unique combination of legal, governmental, and academic experience positions her as a trusted advisor in Angola’s corporate legal landscape.
