Bassel El Turk is a Principal and Managing Partner of the Middle East & Africa business. He joined the firm in 2006 and currently leads the Dubai Dispute Resolution Team. Bassel was appointed Principal in 2016 and became Country Manager in April 2018. His work focuses on intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on enforcement and complex IP litigation across the Middle East and North Africa.

He manages IP portfolios for multinational and regional entities and advises on potential legal and cultural risks associated with Arabic-language marketing and advertising in the MENA region. Bassel holds a BA in Law from La Sagesse University in Lebanon and an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Glasgow. He is admitted by the Lebanese Bar and licensed as a Legal Consultant by the Ruler’s Court of Dubai. Outside of work, he enjoys poetry and squash.
