Dr. Fred Ojiambo is the Senior Partner at Kaplan & Stratton Advocates and one of Kenya’s most distinguished legal practitioners. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1975, Dr. Ojiambo has over four decades of legal experience, specializing in civil litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His extensive practice covers banking, insurance, medical negligence, commercial law, construction, environmental law, land disputes, employment, and international trade.
Dr. Ojiambo regularly represents clients before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, Industrial Court, and specialized tribunals, handling complex, high-profile cases. He has participated in landmark national inquiries, including the Goldenberg Inquiry, and is recognized for his exceptional advocacy and leadership within Kenya’s legal fraternity.
A Senior Counsel (SC) and former Chair of the Law Society of Kenya, Dr. Ojiambo has made significant contributions to the development of Kenya’s legal and regulatory frameworks. He also serves as a director on several corporate and non-profit boards, including Stanbic Bank Ltd, Bata Shoe Company Ltd, Solio Ranch Ltd, and Windle International Kenya.
As the immediate former Chairman of the Council of Legal Education, Dr. Ojiambo continues to shape the future of legal education and professional standards in Kenya.
