Baba Hady Thiam is the Founder and Managing Partner of Thiam & Associés, a leading African law firm. A dual-qualified lawyer admitted to both the Guinean and Paris Bars, he brings a wealth of experience from his work at Gide Loyrette Nouel and Dechert LLP in Paris.

Baba Hady’s practice spans commercial and corporate law, with a strong focus on energy, infrastructure, and natural resources. He advises governments, financial institutions, and project sponsors on the structuring, development, and financing of major energy and infrastructure projects, particularly in hydropower, solar energy, and mining. His expertise also covers mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and dispute resolution across Francophone Africa.

A graduate of Harvard Kennedy School, Baba Hady also holds advanced degrees from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
