Tomás Timbane is a distinguished partner at TTA – Sociedade de Advogados, a leading Mozambican law firm and member of the PLMJ International Legal Network. With over two decades of legal experience, he specializes in foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), energy, natural resources, regulatory law, and dispute resolution.

Between May 2013 and May 2016, Tomás served as President of the Mozambican Bar Association, during which he played a pivotal role in legislative reforms and authored numerous publications in specialized legal journals.He has been an international member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) since 2017 and a member of the Africa Commission of the ICC International Court of Arbitration since 2018. Additionally, he is a registered arbitrator in institutions across Mozambique, South Africa, Brazil, and China.

Tomás holds a law degree, a master's, and a doctorate in law from the Faculty of Law at Eduardo Mondlane University.

Beyond his legal practice, Tomás is actively involved in various national and international legal institutions, contributing to the advancement of the legal profession in Mozambique and the broader Southern African region.
