Ana Marta Castro is a Partner in the Public Law practice at Vieira de Almeida (VdA), a leading Portuguese law firm. She joined VdA in 2006 and became a partner in January 2019.

With extensive experience in public law, Ana Marta advises clients across various sectors, including banking and finance, real estate, defense, aerospace, aviation, energy, infrastructure, education, telecommunications, health, and transportation. Her expertise encompasses administrative law, public procurement, public regulation, and administrative litigation.

Ana Marta has been involved in significant national and international transactions, providing strategic counsel to leading clients in Portugal and abroad.

She holds a Law degree from the University of Lisbon Faculty of Law, a postgraduate degree in Administrative Sciences from the same institution, and a postgraduate degree in Public Procurement Law and Practice from the Portuguese Catholic University.

Before joining VdA, Ana Marta worked as an associate at Mário Esteves de Oliveira and Rui Pena, Arnaut & Associados. She also served as a Legal Adviser at the Council of the European Union's Liaison Office to the United Nations in New York and at Human Rights Watch in the Advocacy Department.
