Ja’far Al-Sabbagh is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and an Attorney-at-Law in Jordan. He earned both his LLB and LLM from the University of Liverpool. Ja’far has extensive transactional experience advising clients across multiple sectors, including trade finance, commodities, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, logistics, aviation, hospitality, and retail. He works closely with start-ups, guiding them from incorporation through to acting as their external general counsel.

His transactional practice covers corporate commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, and general finance. He advises a broad range of clients, including start-ups, established companies, high-net-worth individuals, and family businesses, on corporate restructuring, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder relations, corporate governance, compliance, and general commercial advisory. Ja’far’s experience includes negotiating and drafting key transaction documents, such as share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, investment agreements, joint venture agreements, due diligence reports, management consultancy agreements, and other commercial contracts. He also provides legal consultancy on company registration, including free and development zones, labor matters, tax issues, and drafting or amending legislation related to investment and economic development.

Ja’far represents multijurisdictional corporations in high-value commercial and business disputes and handles significant litigation and arbitration cases. His experience includes defending agency commission claims, handling trademark infringement matters, negotiating settlements, and preparing arbitration claims, with dispute values ranging from hundreds of thousands to over twenty million JOD. Prior to joining Al Khair Legal Attorneys, he was an Associate at Eversheds Sutherland, where he worked on a wide array of commercial transactions and disputes, including employment, property, medical negligence, monetary claims, tort law, intellectual property, company disputes, commercial agency contracts, construction matters, and criminal cases.
