Ziad El-Khoury is a Partner and the Chief Executive Officer at BLK Partners, based in Riyadh. He has over 23 years of experience in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, having previously served as a global partner at two leading international law firms in Riyadh and Beirut. Over his career, Ziad has developed extensive expertise in corporate, financial, regulatory, and civil law matters, with particular focus on telecommunications, banking and finance, corporate, business, and commercial law. He also has significant experience in bankruptcy, real estate and construction, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, and has successfully managed stand-alone projects.
Ziad has represented major corporations and business interests across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East for European, American, and regional clients. He has advised several governments on key initiatives, including labor legislation for the Government of Bahrain, projects for the Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Rural Affairs and the Arriyadh Development Authority, utilities projects for the State of Kuwait, and the liberalization of the telecommunications sector in the State of Qatar. He has also been a leading advisor on numerous structuring and restructuring transactions, assisting corporations, investor groups, and high-net-worth individuals in negotiating and structuring multimillion-dollar deals.
Market sources describe Ziad as highly rated for his healthcare expertise and a leading figure in BLK Partners’ corporate and commercial mandates. He is consistently recognized in regional and international legal rankings. Ziad holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the American University in Washington, DC, and a JD-equivalent in Lebanese law from Université La Sagesse in Beirut. He is admitted to the Beirut Bar Association and is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
