Nicholas Tse is Chair of the International Arbitration practice at Alem & Associates, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. An English barrister dual-qualified as a French Avocat, he regularly appears as an advocate in international arbitrations and related court proceedings. With extensive experience as both an international advocate and business diplomat, Nicholas has represented governments, multinationals, banks, insurers, and financial institutions in complex disputes before the WTO, English courts, and offshore jurisdictions including Bermuda, the BVI, Cayman, Jersey, the DIFC Courts, and the Dubai World Tribunal. He has acted in arbitrations seated in major global centers such as London, Paris, Geneva, Dubai, Singapore, Zurich, and the United States under leading institutional rules including ICC, ICSID, SIAC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, AAA, LMAA, and GAFTA, as well as in ad hoc UNCITRAL proceedings and Bermuda Form disputes. His practice also encompasses the negotiation of major commercial contracts in the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Before joining Alem & Associates, Nicholas led the International Arbitration group at Brown Rudnick and previously headed the International Disputes Team at Gide in London. He is fluent in English and French.
