Rajiv Khaitan is a Senior Partner in the Firm. With a career spanning over 30 years, he heads the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group in the Bengaluru office and advises clients in the defence, hospitality, technology and real estate sectors.
Rajiv specialises in business laws and regulations, corporate governance, financing and structuring, mergers and acquisitions both in India and overseas, strategic alliances, acquisition of distressed assets, technology protection, licensing and transfer, retailing and franchising. In the real estate sector, he advises his clients on acquisition and development of large parcels of lands, setting up industrial and commercial parks, including all kids of lease, leave and license arrangements.
Some of his marque clients, include important promoters and HNIs who reach out to him for advice on planning investment holding structures, succession planning, estate planning, trust deeds, wills, family constitution, family arrangements and partitions. Rajiv has also handled multiple disputes and appeared before various courts, tribunals and arbitration forums.
Rajiv serves as an Independent Director on the boards of listed companies - Onmobile Global Limited and Himatsingka Seide Limited and on a few unlisted Companies including EFD Induction Private Limited, Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd and Himatsingka Holdings NA Inc, USA. He is also a Trustee of the Akshara Foundation which is dedicated to ensuring quality pre-school and primary education for every child.
