Melanie Müller advises and represents clients in trademark and unfair competition law, focusing on securing and enforcing intellectual property rights through office and contentious proceedings. She is experienced in handling preliminary injunctions, ex parte actions, and acts as litigation counsel in complex unfair competition matters, particularly in defense cases.

She studied law at the University of Bremen, specializing in International and European Business Law, and completed her legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Bremen. Since July 2021, she has been pursuing her doctoral thesis on the “Relativization of Injunctive Relief under § 139 PatG” in light of the Second Patent Modernization Act.

Melanie has served as a lecturer in industrial property law at Bucerius Law School (BLS) in Hamburg since May 2022. She is also co-editor, alongside Prof. Dr. Heinz Goddar, of the international reference work Trade Secrets Throughout the World (since 2023), contributing to global thought leadership in the IP field.
