Dr. Michael Rüberg is a German Attorney at Law, Certified IP Lawyer, and Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), specializing in complex patent infringement litigation. He represents clients before all German patent courts and coordinates cross-border disputes, frequently managing parallel nullity proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court and the European Patent Office.

His practice encompasses strategic counseling on product piracy, licensing, technology transfer, employee invention law, as well as copyright and unfair competition matters. With prior experience as a group leader at BMW AG and in private practice at an international law firm in Düsseldorf, Michael combines deep legal expertise with a practical, business-focused perspective.

He holds a doctorate in law (digital copyright) from the University of Cologne and an LL.M. in IP Law from King’s College London. Michael is a frequent lecturer on patent litigation, has served as Visiting Professor at Xiangtan University (China), and was named Global Fellow of the Federal Circuit Bar Association (U.S.) in 2016.
