Robert S. Friedman is a Partner at a leading international law firm, where he serves as the Practice Group Leader of the Business Trial Practice Group. Based in New York, Robert also heads the firm’s South Asia team and is an active member of the White Collar and International Arbitration groups. A seasoned litigator with over 70 trials to his name, he represents financial institutions, technology companies, media firms, and trustees in high-stakes business disputes and internal investigations.

Robert’s practice spans complex commercial litigation, trade secrets, securities enforcement, IP disputes, and international arbitration. He has successfully represented clients in federal and state courts, as well as in major arbitral forums including the ICDR. His notable victories include multimillion-dollar verdicts and dismissals in trade secret, software theft, RICO, bankruptcy, and class action cases.

Before entering private practice, Robert served as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Homicide Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He holds a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University. He is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. Supreme Court, multiple federal appellate and district courts.

Robert also serves on the board of the Iron Will Foundation and is active in alumni initiatives.
