CJI Chandrachud Lays Foundation Stone For Rajiv K. Luthra Academic Wing At NLSIU
Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, laid the foundation stone for the Rajiv K. Luthra Academic Wing at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru on September 22, 2024.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests and dignitaries, including Hon'ble Attorney General of India Shri R. Venkataramani, Chairman of the Bar Council of India Manan Mishra, Chief Trustee of the Rajiv K. Luthra Foundation Mrs. Gayatri Luthra, and Managing Partners Mr. Harry Chawla and Mr. Amit Luthra of Luthra and Luthra Chartered Accountants.
The National Law School of India University has maintained its status as India’s top-ranked institution for legal education for the past two decades.
The grant from the Rajiv K. Luthra Foundation will facilitate the redevelopment of the Academic Wing by redesigning existing classrooms and seminar rooms and constructing new facilities.
The foundation has also established two annual gold medals in memory of the late Rajiv K. Luthra to be awarded to meritorious students. Furthermore, the grant will support an annual lecture series in honor of Rajiv K. Luthra for five years.
