Counsel, Talwar Thakore & Associates (TTA), P Ram Kumar, has been promoted to the firm’s partnership in its competition team in Delhi, making him the firm’s first Delhi partner.
Having joined TTA in 2011, Kumar was promoted to managing associate in 2014, and counsel in 2018. A 2007 law graduate from the School of Excellence in Law, India, Kumar has a LLM in international business laws from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a degree in competitition economics from King’s College, London. Merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance are among Kumar’s areas of specialization.
Partner, TTA, Feroz Dubash commented, “Ram has been a very important part of the competition team since he joined in 2011 and we are excited to welcome him into the partnership as our first competition law partner in Delhi. He has been involved in some of the most complex and innovative transactions in this space and will be a great addition to the partnership.”
