DGFT allows importation of Water Mellon seeds till 30 September 2022

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has made amendments to Import Policy Condition under the Foreign Trade Policy to allow importing Water Mellon seeds from Kandla and Mundra Ports till 30 September 2022.

Currently, the FTP restricts the importation of water Mellon seeds, however, after the amendment the water Mellon seeds will be 'Free'.

The amendment provides that shipments from exporting countries may be allowed at the Indian Customs Port. The shipments may be allowed provided the Bill of Entry is filed and the goods shall be handed to the Customs Authority for examination by 30 October 2022.

The imports will be allowed from Kandla and Mundra Port only.
