Former group General Counsel (GC) of Vedanta Limited, Nitin Banerjee, has joined the Ola group, as its Group General Counsel. Ola is owned by ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. that also owns Foodpanda, electric cabs and international operations.
Nitin started his career as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked in PwC India's Tax and Legal Service line. He has assisted clients in structuring inbound and outbound investments, including advising clients on foreign exchange and corporate law issues and assisting clients in obtaining various regulatory approvals (such as FIPB approvals).
Before joining Ola, Nitin was working with Vedanta as Group General Counsel of Vedanta’s Oil and Gas business. His prior experiences include positions such as Senior Vice President - Legal, Transactions at Vodafone, Vice President - Legal & Governance at BG India among others. He has also been a partner at J Sagar Associates (JSA).
