Gujarat HC reverts back to virtual hearing till further orders

A Standing Committee order by the High Court of Gujarat has announced that physical hearing have been suspended temporarily. The order read, “As per decision of the Honourable Standing Committee dated 14th September 2020 of the High Court the physical hearing as notified on 9th September 2020, is suspended till further orders. As further directed, the Hon’ble Judges presiding over the Benches of physical functioning will revert to virtual hearing as per appropriate orders.”
On the 9 September, the High Court had announced that it would commence physical hearings from 16 September as 12 of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.
The Judges who were to sit in the Court for hearing of the matters will now do so via video conferencing.
