InterGlobe Aviation-run airline IndiGo’s General Counsel Priya Mehra has resigned and will leave the airline by early 2020, it has been reported.
It is not immediately known if she has accepted a job at another company or law firm yet.
IndiGo has a legal team of around 30 lawyers, with associate general counsel Bharat Vansh Bahadur still currently remaining.
Before joining IndiGo’s she had been at the Singapore office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, where she was a counsel.
She specialises in M&A, joint ventures, private equity, government privatizations, capital markets and general corporate advice.
IndiGo has in the midst of a feud between co-founders Rakesh Gangwal and Rahul Bhatia which is still on.
This has led to a few exits of senior executives including its CFO who left the airline in August.
The dispute between the two IndiGo co-founders became public in July after Rakesh Gangwal first complained to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) alleging that Rahul Bhatia indulged in questionable related-party transactions.
According to Gangwal, the shareholders' agreement provided Bhatia unusual controlling rights over IndiGo.
