It pertained to filing the draft red herring prospectus in the proposed IPO of Aadhar Housing Finance equity shares
Khaitan & Co acted as the Indian legal counsel to the Book Running Lead Managers (BRLM) - ICICI Securities Ltd, Citigroup Global Markets India Pvt Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Ltd, Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Pvt Ltd, and SBI Capital Markets Ltd.
This relates to filing the draft red herring prospectus in the proposed initial public offering (IPO) of Aadhar Housing Finance Ltd equity shares worth Rs.50,000 million.
It comprises a fresh issue of equity shares by the company and an offer for sale by the promoter-selling shareholder, BCP Topco VII Pte Ltd (part of the Blackstone Group).
Aadhar is a housing finance company focused on the low-income housing segment, backed by the Blackstone Group. It provides a range of mortgage-related loan products to the economically weaker and low-to-middle-income customers in India.
The core team of Khaitan & Co comprised Abhimanyu Bhattacharya (partner), Soumya Mohapatra (partner), Aparna Bagree (principal associate), Tishita Mukherjee (senior associate), Kanchi Malhotra (associate), Maniya Goyal (associate), Mishi Malhotra (associate), Saisha Bacha (associate), and Shreya Iyer (associate).
