One of the rarest IPOs in the capital market this year is the investment in the initial public offering (IPO) of Pathology chain Metropolis Healthcare with a fund raising of Rs 1,204 crore. Khaitan & Co acted for the issuer, Metropolis Healthcare Limited, led by partner Abhimanyu Bhattacharya, partner Aditya George Cheriyan, principal associate Oishik Bagchi, and associates Aparna Bagree and Devarshi Mukhopadhyay. Kotak, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Jm Financial And Hdfc were led by AZB & Partners partner Varoon Chandra, partner Lionel D Almeida, and associates Avanti Kale, Aditi Verma and Tripti Pandey.
The book running lead managers were led by partner Manoj Bhargava, partner Ankit Kashyap, and associates Varun Jetly and Ravina Mahajan of Sidley Austin.
The Carlyle Group, which was the investor and selling shareholder, was advised by L&L Partners with a team consisting of partners Manan Lahoty and Manshoor Nazki, and associates Varun Baligaand Soumya Cheedi. Singapore-based partner of Clifford Chance Rahul Guptan was international counsel to the Carlyle Group.
