MSME extends the date of validation
The ministry had earlier issued amendments in its notification of last year
The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has notified the extension of the date of validation of existing registered enterprises under MSME till March 31, 2022.
In exercise of the powers conferred by the sections of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, the Central government made the amendments in the notification of the MSME dated 26 June 2020, published in the Gazette of India.
The government notified, "In the said notification, in paragraph (7), in sub-paragraph (3), for the figures and words, '31st day of March 2021' the figures and words, '31st day of March 2022' shall be substituted."
The ministry, in its January 2022 notification, had issued amendments in its June 2020 notification. It informed about the criteria for classifying the enterprises as MSME. The ministry specified the form and procedure for filing the memorandum in order to extend the date of validation of the existing enterprises registered prior to 30 June 2020.
