Ola hails Sandeep Chowdhury to drive its legal team
Chowdhury moves from Nuvoco Vista Corp to Ola's parent company ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd as its new chief general counsel
ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd, the parent company of India's home-grown cab aggregator Ola has appointed Sandeep Chowdhury as its new chief general counsel (GC).
Chowdhury, who was previously associated with Nuvoco Vista Corp in the same position, joined ANI Technologies last month.
According to reports, the first task before Chowdhury is to expand his legal team to match expanding business of the Ola brand. Starting as a cab aggregator, Ola has diversified into financial and food services.
"We have around a 10 member team and I need to ramp up the team, given the business and the different things we've been planning to do. We need to be at least 15 member team," Chowdhury was quoted in media reports.
Ola had in the past used several Indian and foreign law firms including Khaitan & Co and J Sagar Associates (JSA) on its corporate and M&A work.
