Uflex Reinstates Former SEBI Chief GN Bajpai As Independent Director

Uflex Reinstates Former SEBI Chief GN Bajpai As Independent Director
The move highlights the firm’s allegiance to strong leadership
India’s largest multinational flexible packaging and solutions company, UFlex Ltd, has re-appointed Ghyanendra Nath Bajpai, former Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) chief and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Chairman, as an independent director for a second consecutive five-year term, effective 17 April 2026 till 16 April 2031.
The shareholder approval will come at the upcoming 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for 28 August 2025. It reflects the firm’s continued focus on strong corporate governance and strategic leadership.
Bajpai has long been recognized as a distinguished reformer in India's financial regulatory sector. He has been instrumental in steering corporate governance initiatives at UFlex.
The commerce and law graduate chaired key international bodies, including the Corporate Task Force of the International Organization of Securities Commissions and the Insurance Institute of India.
His presence on the UFlex board has been an asset, as he brought decades of regulatory, insurance, and capital markets experience to the firm's leadership.
Meanwhile, the dynamic company has also approved the re-appointment of Sujit Kumar Varma and Rashmi Verma as independent directors for a second five-year term and recommended a 3 percent share dividend for the Financial Year 2025.
