Rishiraj Baruah

Rishiraj Baruah, senior associate at Mumbai office of AZB & Partners primarily works with the aviation practice. He has been instrumental in managing end-to-end transactions with a particular focus on aircraft leasing, financing, sale and purchase, insolvency, re-structuring, and novation’s. He has also advised banks and lessors on issues in relation to filings under the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol. Being part of the restructuring practice as well, Rishiraj has been active in advising on the biggest airline insolvency in India. Rishiraj holds an LLM in air and space law and was previously a research scholar at UNIDROIT, Rome.
