Sumant Prashant

Mr. Sumant Prashant is a Counsel in the Firm's Banking and Finance and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice with over 15 years of experience. Sumant has extensive work experience in OTC derivatives and commodity derivatives market. He was previously working as a legal consultant with National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi where he advised the Ministry of Finance on regulatory governance, financial policy, OTC and exchange traded derivatives related issues. He has also worked as a legal advisor with Forward Markets Commission, erstwhile commodity derivatives regulator in India. He started his career with Axis Bank and then worked with Standard Chartered bank where he advised the bank’s derivatives business in South Asia.
