Surajit Atha currently leads the IP Analytics organization in GE Aerospace, based out of John. F. Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC), Bangalore. In this role, Surajit and his team enables IP and technology development through IP Landscapes, Freedom to Practice Analyses, Licensing Analysis, as well as development and execution of IP Strategy. Prior to this, Surajit has been involved in several leadership roles in GE, providing IP Analysis, Patent Drafting & Prosecution, Competitive Analysis, and Licensing Analytics support to different GE Business and Research units.

Surajit has over 19 years of experience in the field of IP Analytics & Strategy and is passionate about using IP & Technology Intelligence for business strategy & decision making. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt. Surajit holds a M.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from University of Virginia (USA) and a B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur (India).
