Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Geri Care Health Services Private Limited, India’s first integrated geriatric health care brand, in relation to the INR 110 crores minority investment made by InvAscent, a healthcare and life sciences focused private equity investor.

Founded in 2018 by Dr. Lakshmipathy Ramesh, one of India’s foremost Geriatricians, Geri Care is India’s 1st elder-care service run by Geriatricians. It offers a comprehensive 360- degree continuum care for senior citizens, with a network of multi-speciality hospitals, assisted living centres, home care, and clinics, exclusively for senior citizens. Its path- breaking work over the past 5 years in Chennai has been recognized as one of the most effective models in providing holistic health care to the aged.

Geri Care proposes to utilize funds received from the transaction to expand its services beyond its headquarters in Chennai to other major cities in South India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Coimbatore, and to establish centres of excellence in geriatric oncology, geriatric urology, geriatric cardiology, and ortho-geriatrics through its chain of multi-speciality hospitals for senior citizens.
