Trilegal advised on the issuance of ZCZPs by SGBS Unnati Foundation on NSE’s Social Stock Exchange

The leading law firm in India, Trilegal advised on the public issuance of zero-coupon-zero-principal instruments (ZCZPs) by SGBS Unnati Foundation (Unnati), which were listed on the social stock exchange segment of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.

This marks the third public issue of ZCZPs by Unnati and reflects Trilegal’s continued association, having previously advised on the first-ever social stock exchange fundraise undertaken in India and the first stock exchange fundraise following the introduction of UPI as a bidding mechanism for ZCZPs. The proceeds from the issuance are proposed to be deployed towards Unnati’s learning and empowerment program, with the potential to positively impact approximately 2,867 young individuals.

Unnati is a Bengaluru-based not-for-profit organisation focused on training underprivileged youth and enabling them to secure gainful employment.

The Trilegal Capital Markets team was led by Richa Choudhary (Partner) and Maitreya Rajurkar (Partner), with support from Aayush Khandelwal (Senior Associate) and Samruddhi Varma (Associate).
