Eversheds Sutherland Advised Boparan on Investment in Roberts Bakery

Eversheds Sutherland has advised private investment firm Boparan Private Office (BPO) on its investment in the business and assets of Roberts Bakery.

Following the filing of a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 6 October 2025, the investment by BPO has safeguarded more than 430 jobs and secured the future of one of the UK’s most historic bakery brands. A new entity, Roberts Bakery 1887 Limited, has been established to carry out the investment and support the business going forward.

The team provided strategic legal counsel throughout the transaction, enabling a swift and effective rescue of the business.
