The major international, full-service law firm Addleshaw Goddard is advising Peel Hunt in its role as financial adviser to Jiangxi Copper Company on the proposed acquisition of SolGold plc, announced today. The acquisition values SolGold at approximately £867 million.

Jiangxi Copper Company, headquartered in China with shares listed on both the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is one of the largest global producers and suppliers of copper products. SolGold is an exploration company focused on discovering and developing world-class copper and gold deposits, with a strong presence in Ecuador’s Andean copper belt.

The Addleshaw Goddard team, advising Peel Hunt in relation to the financing of the offer, was led by Simon Wood (Partner) and Ewen Scott (Partner).
