Carey Olsen advised Tripledot Studios on US$800 million acquisition of AppLovin’s mobile gaming portfolio

Carey Olsen advised London-based game developer Tripledot Studios on its US$800 million acquisition of AppLovin’s mobile gaming studio portfolio, a move that positions Tripledot among the world’s top five independent mobile gaming companies by revenue.

As part of the deal, Tripledot will acquire 10 studios and 2,500 employees, expanding its footprint in strategic markets including the United States and Asia. The transaction values Tripledot at approximately US$2 billion. Meanwhile, AppLovin, a US-based mobile technology and marketing platform, will shift focus to its core advertising business and take a US$400 million stake in Tripledot.
