The leading law firm in Egypt, Dreny & Partners, advised GlobalCorp – Financial Services on a EGP 2.475 billion securitization transaction, part of a EGP 10 billion multi-issuance program, featuring a subscription by IFC – International Finance Corporation. This landmark transaction marks a first-of-its-kind step in the Middle East and North Africa, supporting sustainable local-currency financing and broadening access to capital markets, while reinforcing institutional investor confidence in the Egyptian non-banking financial sector.
The transaction involved key market participants, including Al Ahly Pharos – الأهلي فاروس Promoting & Underwriting S.A.E. and CIB Egypt as financial advisors and lead arrangers. National Bank of Egypt (NBE), CIB, Suez Canal Bank, Arab African International Bank, and Al Baraka Bank Egypt participated as underwriters. CIB acted as custodian, while NBE served as bookrunner. Baker Tilly Hilal & Abdel Ghaffar acted as the official auditor.
