Eversheds Sutherland advised MAGRABi Retail Group on acquisition of Kefan Optics in Kuwait


Eversheds Sutherland advised MAGRABi Retail Group, the Middle East’s leading eyewear retailer, on its acquisition of Kefan Optics, a prominent optical retail chain based in Kuwait.

This strategic acquisition strengthens MAGRABi Retail Group’s position as a leading market player in Kuwait and will add 37 Kefan Optics stores to its portfolio. By the end of 2025, MAGRABi's regional footprint is expected to exceed 350 stores, solidifying its presence and market share across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and Egypt.

Completion of the transaction is subject to satisfaction of commercial and regulatory conditions, including approval by the Kuwait Competition Protection Authority.
