Gibson Dunn advised ACWA Power, SEC, and KEPCO on $4 Billion Saudi Arabia Energy Projects

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP advised ACWA Power, The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), as the sponsors, on the financing of the Rumah 1 and Nairyah 1 combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) independent power projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two projects, each with a production capacity of 1,800 megawatts, represent a total investment of approximately $4 billion. They form part of the Saudi Energy Ministry’s plans to maximize local power supply in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 program and to support its 2060 net-zero targets.
