Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer advised CleanPeak Energy on A$500 million partnership with KKR

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) advised CleanPeak Energy, an Australian-owned developer and operator of energy transition infrastructure, on its strategic partnership with private equity firm KKR. The partnership involves a A$500 million investment by KKR to support the development of CleanPeak Energy’s pipeline of energy transition projects.

Amit Jois, Partner at HSF Kramer, said, “This investment will accelerate CleanPeak’s energy transition strategy. This includes the delivery of solar, battery and storage systems to help its clients meet their own energy transition goals, and reduce energy costs. It was fantastic to work alongside the CleanPeak Energy founders Philip Graham and Jon Hare, and the broader CleanPeak Energy team, to support its large-scale renewables ambition.”

The HSF Kramer team was led by partners Amit Jois and David Ryan, with support from partner Jinny Chaimungkalanont, senior associates Katherine Wright and Mark Peters, and solicitor Javier Cross.
