Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy advised Egypt’s foremost private healthcare group, Alameda Healthcare, on a landmark USD 190 million investment by Africa-focused, London-based private investment firm Development Partners International (DPI).
The transaction, principally a capital increase, will see DPI acquire a minority stake in Alameda Healthcare, while Chairman Dr. Fahad Khater will remain as majority shareholder. The investment aims to expand Alameda’s footprint across Egypt and the GCC, adopt advanced technologies, and scale its Centres of Excellence.

The Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy team advising on the transaction was led by Omar S Bassiouny (Founding Partner and Group Head of Corporate), with support from Areej Elhammouri (Legal Director), Fatma Akram (Senior Associate), and Associates Nourhan Sayed, Mariam El Gabry, and Mohamed Akram.
The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q3 2025.
