Allen & Gledhill's Arbitration Specialist Launches Independent Boutique Firm

After an illustrious tenure as a partner, spanning over a decade, Chua Kee Loon, who also served as the co-deputy head of international arbitration at renowned Singapore-based law firm Allen & Gledhill, has departed to embark on a new venture. Chua has established a new law firm, Chua & Partners, with a primary focus on handling disputes.

In addition to Chua Kee Loon, his accomplished team has also transitioned to the newly established law firm. The team includes partners Ng Si Ming and Nicholas Tan, both of whom were previously with Allen & Gledhill, along with senior associate Sheryl Koh.

At the new firm, Chua & Partners, all members of the team have assumed the position of partners while Chua Kee Loon will lead the firm as its managing partner.

Drawing on his extensive experience spanning over two decades, Chua Kee Loon specialises in international arbitration, offering comprehensive expertise in various areas, including commercial disputes, energy-related matters, and construction disputes. His focus centres on handling complex cases related to significant engineering projects and investments throughout Southeast Asia.

With an impressive track record, Chua Kee Loon has served as lead counsel in numerous arbitration proceedings conducted in diverse cities across the region and internationally, including notable locations such as London, Geneva, and The Hague. His involvement has extended to handling complex cases concerning investment treaty arbitrations against sovereign states.
