Amore Carstens-Petersen
Amore Carstens-Petersen has served at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc for over seven years, progressing from Candidate Attorney to Associate, and most recently as Senior Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Oil & Gas. Her experience spans complex corporate transactions, client advisory, and cross-border deals, demonstrating a strong track record in strategic legal counsel.
Amore earned her LLB (Cum Laude) and B.Com. in Law (Economics) from the University of the Western Cape, reflecting a strong academic foundation alongside her professional achievements.
Amore Carstens-Petersen said on her promotion,

Crystal Yang
Crystal Yang has been with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc since 2018, most recently serving as Senior Associate. Her work focuses on Legal Solutions, Legal Technology, and client advisory, combining deep technical knowledge with strategic insight. Crystal’s prior roles include Legal Consultant at Legal Interact and Candidate Attorney at Kokinis Inc, showcasing her diverse legal experience across multiple jurisdictions.
Crystal holds an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy from the University of Kent and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, complemented by a Professional Development Module at Wits Business School.
Elgene Roos
Elgene Roos joined Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc in 2022 as Senior Associate, with extensive experience in Pro Bono and Human Rights Practice. Prior to CDH, he served as Senior Associate and Associate Attorney at Richard Spoor Inc Attorneys, and as an Attorney and Candidate Attorney at the Legal Resources Centre, gaining significant expertise in litigation, advocacy, and client representation.
Elgene completed his LLB and BCom Law (Law & Economics) at the University of the Western Cape, equipping him with a strong combination of legal knowledge and economic insight.
Lulama Lobola
Lulama Lobola has extensive experience in Pro Bono and Human Rights Practice at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc as Senior Associate since 2022. Before joining CDH, she worked at Richard Spoor Inc Attorneys as Senior Associate and Associate Attorney, and at the Legal Resources Centre as Attorney and Candidate Attorney, contributing to critical legal advocacy and client service initiatives.
Lulama earned her LLB and BCom Law (Law & Economics) from the University of the Western Cape, highlighting both her legal expertise and academic foundation.
Sune Kruger
Sune Kruger has been with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc for over eight years, progressing from Candidate Attorney to Associate and Senior Associate. He specializes in corporate and estate planning law, providing high-level advisory services to clients across South Africa.
Sune holds an LLM in Estate Planning Law and an LLB from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, complementing his practical legal experience with strong academic credentials.
