Dreny & Partners advised ADVA on obtaining fintech licence from Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority
The leading law firm in Egypt, Dreny & Partners advised ADVA, a Cairo-based fintech company, on successfully obtaining its purpose-built fintech licence from the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), enabling it to conduct consumer finance activities in accordance with Egyptian law.
The licence permits ADVA to officially operate digital consumer finance services, including fully electronic onboarding (e-KYC) and e-signatures, marking a significant regulatory milestone for the company. The licensing follows ADVA’s acquisition in April 2025 by Maseera Holding, an Abu Dhabi-based entity and subsidiary of IHC’s 2PointZero Group, which repositioned ADVA as a technology and data analytics hub for North Africa.
Dreny & Partners acted as legal counsel to ADVA throughout the licensing process, advising on regulatory compliance and liaising with the FRA to ensure successful approval of the fintech licence.
The Dreny & Partners procedures team was led by Nagy Mostafa Ebied (Counsel), working alongside Ahmed Reda (Managing Associate), with support from Ibrahim El Gamal (Associate).
