International law firm Trowers & Hamlins LLP has advised Vistry Group on the formation of its long-term joint venture with Homes England, which will help deliver sustainable housing growth and unlock the potential of large-scale sites across England.
The Homes England-Vistry partnership, named Hestia, is being supported by a combined investment of £150m from the two partners. Hestia will focus on the delivery of high-quality, mixed-tenure communities at pace and scale, which will contribute towards the government’s commitment to build 1.5 million homes in this Parliament.
The investment strategy will focus on identifying sites to bring forward vital new infrastructure and manage the construction of new communities of between 400 and 3,000 homes each.
Ian Dobinson, Partner in the Trowers & Hamlins Corporate team said,
"We are delighted to have supported Vistry on this significant partnership with Homes England. Hestia represents an exciting opportunity to accelerate the delivery of sustainable, mixed-tenure housing across the country and to create communities that will have a long-term impact."
James Huckstep, Partner in the Projects and Construction team added,
“This joint venture comes at a critical time for regeneration and housing delivery in this country. The scale of the challenge requires long-term investment, innovative construction methods and a clear focus on creating sustainable communities. Hestia will play an important role in unlocking strategic housing sites and transforming them into vibrant new neighbourhoods, ensuring that much-needed homes are delivered at pace and with lasting quality.”
The Trowers & Hamlins team was led by Ian Dobinson (Partner), and James Huckstep, supported by Katie Parkinson (Legal Director), and Ed Hunt (Associate).
