Sidley Austin LLP has announced the addition of Nicholas Cassin as a partner in the investment funds group in its New York office.

A leading practitioner in the secondaries space, Cassin has extensive experience in advising buyers and fund sponsors on a full range of fund liquidity transactions across multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, real estate, and infrastructure. He also has expertise in traditional portfolio sales, preferred equity and stapled secondaries, and GP-led fund restructurings.

As we continue to expand the firm's value proposition for private equity and other investment firms, Cassin will work closely with our clients and partners across our practices, including private equity, energy, and real estate sectors."

Michael Schmidtberger, the executive committee chair at Sidley Austin said, "Cassin joins a robust team working with the largest players in the investment funds business.
