Trowers & Hamlins has announced the promotion of 10 lawyers to partnership, effective from July 1, 2023. These promotions encompass multiple offices, including London, Birmingham, Exeter, Bahrain, and Malaysia, and span across diverse practice areas such as Banking and Finance, Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Real Estate, International Banking and Finance, and International Corporate.

Sara Bailey, the Senior Partner of Trowers & Hamlins, extended her congratulations to each of the newly appointed partners.

“All have made significant contributions to the firm and added real value both through their client work and through living our values. A strong and collegiate partnership is key to our continued success and the future of the firm and I look forward to working with all of them as we take Trowers forward,” Bailey said.

Among the newly promoted partners, Benjamin O'Brien-McQueenie, hailing from the MENA region, brings expertise in International Corporate matters. Benjamin has a distinguished background as a senior associate in Trowers & Hamlins' Bahrain office, where he specialised in capital markets, company mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and regulatory affairs.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the Middle East, Benjamin offers legal guidance to both international and regional clients engaged in investments within the region. His advisory services extend to banking institutions, private equity investors, and sovereign wealth funds, covering a wide range of matters. In addition to his corporate practice, Benjamin also provides advisory services to clients regarding digital services and data protection. Being familiar with the growing importance of compliance with relevant regulations in an increasingly digital world, Benjamin assists clients in navigating the intricacies of data protection and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations in this domain.
