JPMorganChase & Co. has elevated Vishnu Nair to the position of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing association with the global financial institution.
Nair has been with JPMorganChase for the past eight years, having joined the organisation in 2017 as Assistant Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel. During his tenure, he has provided legal counsel across diverse business units, with a particular focus on supporting JPMorgan Investment Bank’s Payments and Banking operations. His work has included advising on regulatory matters, conflicts of interest, ethics, conduct, and attorney licensing, along with ownership of related department-wide procedures.
An alumnus of the University of Kerala, Nair brings over 15 years of experience as an in-house counsel. He has built deep expertise in the payments business as well as risk and controls matters, offering strategic legal guidance to complex financial operations.
His elevation to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel reflects both his extensive experience and his continued contributions to JPMorganChase’s legal and compliance functions.
