Amit Anand, former India Head Legal (VP-Legal) at Commonwealth Bank, has joined Adobe as Director Legal, where he will primarily oversee Employment Laws and litigation.
Anand is a 2009 graduate of The ICFAI University, Dehradun and brings over 15 years of experience leading cross-functional legal teams and managing complex multi-jurisdictional matters. Prior to Adobe, he held senior legal counsel roles at Wells Fargo, NTT DATA, and EY, overseeing legal affairs across diverse jurisdictions.
At Commonwealth Bank, Anand led the India Legal function, establishing and building the legal team, providing counsel on HR/Employment Law, commercial contracts, IP, privacy laws, and achieving 30%+ YoY cost efficiency through the development of internal SOPs and external counsel management.
During his tenure at EY, he served as Lead Counsel for Employment Law across global delivery locations in India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Poland, and Mexico, advising on dispute management, ethics, and internal investigations.
Anand has also contributed extensively to NTT DATA, Wells Fargo, and other organizations, providing strategic guidance on contracts, commercial transactions, employment law, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
