Quinn Emanuel optimistic over flat 2021 London revenue presentation

The firm has faced 'particular' challenge of competition team departure while it praises matching record 2020 turnover.

Quinn Emanuel, US litigation leader was contended by its London office with a flat revenue presentation given a record 2020 and the 'particular challenge' of dropping down high-profile rivalry team in 2021.

The firm's rising costs related to associate salaries, bonuses and taking up of larger office space, the revenue at the 26-partner office plunged slightly from £127.4m in 2020 to £127.3m, against a 6percent reduction in earnings to £85.59m. In 2020, the office's revenue margin tripped down to 67percent from 71percent.

In 2020 the results difference with a stellar presentation when revenue rose by 27percent with profit shooting up by 34percent. Based on the Global Legal Post 2021 results tracker, they are also under par if compared to many UK top 50 law firms that documented an average upsurge in revenue of 7percent. Although the focus of Quinn Emanuel is on disputes has prohibited it from cashing in on record transaction markets.

The firm also had to oppose with a rare reverse in London in October 2021. Boris Bronfentrinker, UK competition practice co-lead has changed sides to Willkie Farr & Gallagher and partners Elaine Whiteford and Nicola Chesaites and a group of acquaintances.

He further stated with extreme contentment to have matched their 2020 revenue. It was an extraordinary effort by staff and the highest earning year since they inaugurated 14 years before in London.

Leo Kitchen, Adam McWilliams and Karabeth Ovenden are the three newly elected in 26 partners' firm in London. Leo has a particular focus on competition-related collective claims, international arbitration specialist, Adam and Karabeth's practice covers derivative products risk management and related disputes, insolvency matters and complex commercial and tax disputes.

The office had 63 acquaintances and three of counsel since 31 December, 2021.

Following the collapse of NMC Health, the firm's main cases advises on 2022 together with the Facebook claim. It includes representing administrator Alvarez & Marsall in a £1bn auditor claim against E&Y.

Over supposed anti-competitive break of contract, the firm also signifies Phones4U in its entitlement against several major mobile network operators.
