Ethos Receives ₹3.21 Cr GST Demand
Ethos Limited has received a ₹3.21 crore GST demand from the Principal Commissioner, CGST Chandigarh, for alleged non-payment on non-taxable transactions and Input Tax Credit discrepancies for FY 2017-18 to 2019-20. The company plans to appeal, asserting the demand is unfounded.

Ethos Limited has received a demand of ₹3.21 crore under Section 74 of the CGST Act, 2017, according to the company’s exchange filing.
The penalty was imposed by the Office of the Principal Commissioner, Central Goods & Services Tax, Chandigarh, for the alleged non-payment of GST on non-taxable transactions and discrepancies in Input Tax Credit (ITC) for the financial years 2017-18 to 2019-20.
The company has expressed its intention to challenge the order before the appropriate authority. “The company firmly believes that the demand is factually and legally untenable. It has consistently complied with GST regulations and will be filing an appeal before the appropriate authority to contest the order,” Ethos Limited said in its filing.
